Calcio in breve Italiano

Italian football news in brief, confirmed by several outlets

How it works

Every few minutes Calcio in breve reads the news published by the main Italian sports outlets and groups together the articles that report the same fact. For each fact it publishes a headline and a few lines, without clickbait, with links to every outlet that covered it. The English edition is a translation of the Italian one.

The bars next to each story

They show how many outlets report the same fact. More bars, more confirmations.

The "Official source" badge

It appears when the sources include the official site of a club or federation: the fact comes straight from those involved, not from third parties.

What we do not publish

Gossip, betting and odds, guides to where to watch matches, fantasy football, opinion pieces without new facts, commercial promotions.

Transfer news

We publish transfer rumours only when they report a concrete fact, such as an offer, a meeting or a fee, and always name the outlet that reported them. Vague rumours stay out.

The role of artificial intelligence

Summaries are written by an artificial intelligence model from the headlines and standfirsts that outlets publish in their feeds. For interviews, when the standfirst announces the quotes without reporting them, the model also reads the article and keeps only the main statements, with short quotes and a link to the outlet. We do not republish articles or photos. Every summary is checked automatically: names, numbers and roles must appear in the sources, and a second model verifies the facts sentence by sentence. A summary that fails the checks is not published. The English version is then translated by the same kind of model, and the numbers are checked against the Italian text.

Errors and corrections

If you spot an error write to redazione@calcioinbreve.it: we will correct or withdraw the story as soon as possible.
