Besiktas, Italiano wins first five home league matches
Besiktas
Besiktas beat Basaksehir in the ninth round of the Trendyol Süper Lig, with Vincenzo Italiano in the dugout. With this result, the coach has won all of his first five home league matches as the club's manager, a feat not achieved in more than fifty years, since the 1973-1974 season of Metin Türel. For the match against Basaksehir, Italiano had changed eight players from the previous game. After nine rounds, Besiktas are fourth with 18 points, four points behind league leaders Galatasaray.
