Death of Jesus de Miguel after clash with goalkeeper Owono, Spanish police open investigation
Spanish police have opened an investigation into the death of Jesus de Miguel, which occurred after a violent clash during play with opposing goalkeeper Jesus Owono. As always in cases of death not due to natural causes, investigators want to clarify the circumstances of what happened. A suspension has already been decided for Owono, and he faces up to 4 years in prison. The case brings to mind the accidental collision between Antognoni and the Genoa goalkeeper, which in the past led to a narrowly avoided death.
