Inter's Chivu on a fifth striker: “The consideration is right”, market evaluations to follow
After the defeat in the derby, Inter coach Cristian Chivu responded to the idea of signing a fifth striker in January. He said: “The consideration is right,” but added that it is too easy to talk about it now, with Lautaro injured and the other two forwards not fully fit. Chivu explained that some evaluations will be made, but that the squad is happy with its four strikers. The topic emerged after comments from Mauro Icardi, a free agent since leaving Galatasaray, who told Repubblica that he dreams of returning to the nerazzurri, even as a fifth option. According to Sportmediaset, the club has opened several avenues for January.
