Inter's Chivu: “The approach was wrong, we have to admit it”
After the derby defeat to AC Milan, a 3-1 loss, Cristian Chivu said: “The approach was wrong, we have to admit it.” However, he ruled out writing everything off, as the team responded, pulling back to 2-1 and creating chances to equalise. The coach explained that Bonny, Provedel and Pio were suffering from a stomach virus, and that Inter had to adapt with the players available. On the derby, he noted that Inter have not won in two years, adding: “Unfortunately, right now we are not able to.”
