Milan, Cardinale: “We must keep improving the squad”
Milan owner Gerry Cardinale has explained that the club was unable to do everything it wanted over the summer, and that the rebuilding will still require a couple more transfer windows, given that the work has only reached a quarter of the way. The priority, he said, is “building a squad that has the capacity to deal with injuries,” with the European competitions and the high tempo of Amorim's game in mind. In January the club will continue to be aggressive and strengthen the bench, Cardinale explained, but he ruled out wasteful spending: “I will not squander money.”
