Napoli: De Laurentiis to meet Aponte family over new stadium
According to Il Mattino, Aurelio De Laurentiis will meet the Aponte family, owners of MSC, in Geneva to explore a partnership on Napoli's new stadium. The proposal is for a 70,000-seat venue on the former Kuwait Petroleum site in San Giovanni a Teduccio, which could be called MSC Arena or MSC Stadium, with an agreement that would go beyond naming rights. For now, there are no reports of negotiations over the sale of shares in Napoli. De Laurentiis said: “If I ever decide to sell, I would prefer to sell to a Neapolitan.”
