Juventus, Massara: “The club has confirmed its desire to continue with this technical project”
Juventus AZ Alkmaar
Ahead of the Europa League match away to AZ Alkmaar, Chief Football Officer Frederic Massara confirmed Juventus' confidence in Luciano Spalletti to Sky Sport. He said the coach is managing a complex situation due to the many absences, but that the club does not want to use them as an excuse: “We expect a response from the players who have been called upon.” On the lack of Italians in the squad, Massara said there is a need to return to having a strong Italian core, perhaps balanced with foreign talent. On Alajbegovic, he explained that the player was being followed by half of Europe and that, as he is very young and still settling in, the club is confident. Spalletti, also speaking to Sky Sport, asked his players to repeat the signs seen against Napoli and said a great match will be needed.
