Romano, Cagliari moving towards buying him from AS Roma
Midfielder Alessandro Romano joined Cagliari on loan from AS Roma on 1 July 2026, with a conditional obligation to buy. According to TuttoMercatoWeb, the permanent move is now a formality, and the player can already be considered 100% a Cagliari player. Romano will face AS Roma for the first time as an opponent. Four years ago, the Giallorossi had bought him in Switzerland for 70,000 euros. The club later sold him due to budget requirements.
