Verona, Conferenza dei Servizi for new Bentegodi stadium begins
Today at Palazzo Barbieri the preliminary Conferenza dei Servizi opened, convened by mayor Damiano Tommasi, to examine the proposal for a new stadium submitted by Hellas Verona on 30 September. The project envisages the demolition of the current Bentegodi and the construction of a facility with around 30,000 seats on the same site, in Piazzale Olimpia, with an investment of around 300 million euros. The meeting was attended by executive president Italo Zanzi, operations director Giuseppe Bruno and Stadium Manager Andrea Poncato, together with the project's technical and strategic partners. The stadium should be usable all year round, including for concerts, international events and commercial activities.
