Juventus, Spalletti: “It was a great win with great football” after 2-1 victory at AZ Alkmaar
Juventus AZ Alkmaar
After the 2-1 win away at AZ Alkmaar in the Europa League, Spalletti said: “I’m very satisfied, we played a serious match.” The coach hit back at critics, reminding them that Juventus had beaten NEC, who now have seven points, and that opponents must always be given their due. Towards the end, he admitted the team had dropped back and that, had the match lasted another five minutes, he was not sure they would have held on to the result. Defender Gatti, captain for the evening, stressed that Juventus are too far from the top positions in Serie A and that consistency is needed.
